Brett Brewer is a lifelong athlete who played football since the age of five. As a young professional, he was searching for an activity that would both satisfy his desire for competition and help him stay in shape. He discovered CrossFit in February 2014, and immediately fell in love with the demanding nature of the training, which allowed him to constantly push his limits.
Following a total rupture of his right pectoral major during a local CrossFit competition, Brett rallied to qualify for and participate in the 2015 USAW Weightlifting National Championships, where he placed 16th in the nation. His current PRs include a 300 lbs. snatch, 375 lbs. clean and jerk, 530 lbs. back squat, along with an incredible 245 lbs. strict press. Brett’s goals for 2016 include competing in the CrossFit Games South Regional while appearing for a consecutive year at the USAW Weightlifting National Championships.
